Policy Theme

Ageing policies in this database are organized under 14 broad themes that cover the goals and priorities of international ageing policy frameworks such as the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing, its Regional Implementation Strategy for the UNECE region (MIPAA/RIS) and the 2022 Rome Ministerial Declaration on Ageing. They also cover the action areas of the United Nations Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021-2030). Policy actions under the different themes contribute to achieving several of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Related SDGs are indicated on each policy page.
