The Cyprus Lifelong Learning Strategy (CyLLLS) 2021–2027 aims to develop a knowledge-based society by providing learning opportunities for all citizens. Key objectives include establishing a governance framework, reducing youth unemployment, increasing adult participation in lifelong learning, and enhancing the professional practice of educators. The strategy is coordinated by the European and International Affairs, Lifelong Learning and Adult Education Office of the Ministry of Education, Sport, and Youth (MESY). Key stakeholders include the National and Technical Committees, various public authorities, and social partners. The strategy targets all citizens of Cyprus, focusing on youth, older persons, and vulnerable groups. It covers the entire nation and spans multiple sectors, including education, labor, and social inclusion. The strategy emphasizes digital and green transitions, inclusion and equality, validation of non-formal and informal learning, and health and well-being. Implementation involves setting up governance, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks, providing learning opportunities aligned with labor market needs, and enhancing outreach and communication. The strategy covers the period 2021–2027.

The objective of the National Certification Body is to promote gender equality in the workplace by certifying enterprises that adopt gender-equal practices. The National Certification Body, established by the Council of Ministers and chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, oversees the certification process. Key stakeholders include the Gender Equality Commissioner and representatives from employers' and employees' associations. This policy is national in scope, targeting enterprises and organizations across the country. It aims to recognize and certify those that implement gender-equal practices. The policy offers two types of certifications: “Best Practice” for individual practices and “Equality Employer” for comprehensive gender equality systems. Enterprises apply annually, and evaluators conduct on-site visits and interviews to assess compliance. Successful applicants are awarded certifications in a special ceremony and gain advantages in public procurement tenders. Regarding observed impacts, certified enterprises benefit from enhanced public recognition and improved opportunities in public procurement. In terms of timeframe, the policy was introduced in 2014 and certification is valid for four years, with a renewal process involving re-evaluation.

The objective the project Actions for reducing the gender pay gap was to combat the root causes that create and sustain the gender pay gap. The project was implemented by the Department of Labour Relations, and the key stakeholders included officers and Inspectors of equal pay and equal treatment in employment legislation, career advice professionals, primary and secondary education teachers and parents. The project was national in scope, targeting the entire workforce in Cyprus to address gender pay disparities across all sectors. The project included a broad mix of measures aimed at reducing the gender pay gap. These measures involved various social groups and included specific actions, initiatives, and regulations designed to address the underlying causes of pay inequality. Key interventions included, among others, the establishment of a gender equality Certification Body which would evaluate enterprises as regards the incorporation or the application of a best practise of equal treatment and/or equal pay principles in their working environment, or the introduction of measures for eliminating occupational and sectoral segregation. The project started in July 2010 and concluded in December 2015.

The OUC operates autonomously with a focus on efficient management and academic excellence. Key strategies include the implementation of decisions by the Council and Senate, and the Rector's oversight of university operations. The Director of Administration and Finance ensures smooth administrative and financial functions. Since its establishment, the OUC has contributed significantly to higher education in Cyprus, providing accessible education and fostering research. In terms of timeframe, the University was established in 2002.
